What to expect: Our journey begins at the Museo Casa Estudio Diego Rivera y Frida Kahlo, an icon of 20th-century functionalist architecture. Here, we explore the creative environment where Rivera worked and Frida briefly lived, gaining insight into their artistic and political world.
We then continue to UNAM’s University City campus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where Mexican Muralism takes on a monumental scale. At the breathtaking Biblioteca Central, admire Juan O’Gorman’s iconic mosaic murals, which narrate Mexican history from pre-Hispanic civilizations to modern Mexico.
The tour concludes at the Frida Kahlo Museum, also known as Casa Azul, in Coyoacán. Frida’s birthplace, home and creative sanctuary offers an intimate look into her world through her self-portraits, personal belongings and traditional clothing.
Moving from monumental public art to deeply personal spaces, this private tour offers a broader understanding of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera’s lives, art and enduring legacy.
